BROOKLYN UNITED AND PARK SLOPE UNITED ANNOUNCE
NEW DIRECTOR OF COACHING AND METHODOLOGY
EDUARDO PEREZ MORAN WILL JOIN BROOKLYN UNITED AND PARK SLOPE UNITED
IN THE SUMMER AND LEAD BOTH PROGRAMS AS DIRECTOR OF COACHING AND METHODOLOGY
(Brooklyn, NY) June 3rd, 2021 – Brooklyn United, Brooklyn’s soccer academy, and Park Slope United, Brooklyn’s premier youth development program, is proud to announce that Eduardo Perez Moran will be joining the club over the summer as Director of Coaching and Methodology. Moran joins Brooklyn United as DOC to provide world class coaching and methodology that has helped create some of the world’s most famous soccer stars. Moran will also be working in the same capacity for Brooklyn United’s younger sibling club, Park Slope United, where that same methodology and curriculum will be taught and delivered to players at the youngest of ages. Moran will work closely with coaches from both clubs, and at all program levels, to ensure that both Brooklyn United and Park Slope United continue to provide the best soccer experience and highest level of soccer programming available in Brooklyn.
“PSU and Brooklyn United is an amazing project that my family and I want to grow and be able to contribute all our passion and work to. I have viewed all of the PSU games found online and I believe that there are great players and teams with good skills and soccer ideas. With our Game Model and Methodology, I believe we can create the best soccer program in the country! We are looking forward to arriving soon, meeting all the players and families, and enjoying Brooklyn!” says Director of Coaching and Methodology Edu Moran.
“Everyone associated with PSU and BKU should be very proud to have a person of Edu’s stature and integrity joining the program. He stood out among our finalists (including a Europa League Sporting Director and a Director of the Real Madrid Academy) due to his infectious positive energy, his work rate, and his personal mission to see players of all ages and abilities develop through a methodology that the coaches implement. For example, by the 2nd interview he had created an 80 page document combining his own soccer ideas with the PSU philosophy and curriculum. By the 3rd interview he had watched all of the PSU games found online and utilized clips to describe coaching theory. I believe that he will be the ideal role model for all of the coaches and impact all of the players in the club, “ says Executive Director Nathan Bell.
Moran will work alongside General Manager, Kemar Johnson, to ensure that all on field operations and programs are delivered at the highest standards. They will also oversee and mentor the staff of Technical Directors, Head, and Assistant Coaches for all program levels to ensure every class and program offered is providing the world class soccer experience both BKU and PSU are synonymous with. Moran will also work closely with Executive Director – Nathan Bell, Chief Operating Officer – Ethan Metelenis, and Dir. of Player Pathways and Development – Dominic Casciato, to ensure that players who move up through the clubs, and who play for the Brooklyn United soccer academy senior travel teams, as well as the Park Slope United travel teams, are being given the specialized focus and elite soccer academy training that will help guide and nurture players’ understanding of the soccer landscape at the higher levels to ensure success for the player and family.
Moran has coached in La Liga, has coached in the Europa League, Indonesian National Team coach, led multiple large professional youth academies and is currently a UEFA PRO Licensed coach and instructor. This means he is one of the handful of people in the world allowed to teach and mentor current professional coaches. Upon arrival in the United States, Moran will join Brooklyn United and Park Slope United as one of the highest licensed and respected coaches in the country, including professional coaches in Major League Soccer and other professional and amateur leagues.
