Daniel Herrera

Travel Head Coach

Played collegiately at St. John’s University where he studied Accounting. Over his 4 year career at St. John’s, earned both Rookie of the Week honors for Big East play as well as helped his 2011 team bring home a Big East Tournament Championship against national powerhouse, University of Connecticut. Prior to his time in Queens, Daniel was a 4 time letter winner at Massapequa High School, earning awards such as All County, All Conference, All State, and All Region. In 2006, Daniel was chosen to be a part of the US Region 1 Team which represented their country at the Mediterranean International Cup in Barcelona, Spain.

Following this tournament, he was chosen to be a part of the U14 US National Team pool, which participated in multiple tournaments including the Nike Friendlies in Bradenton, FL. Following college in 2014, he spent time in Reykjavik, Iceland pursuing a professional soccer career but ultimately came back to New York to explore a career in developing young talent. Holds licenses in in both USSF and NSCAA coaching schools.
