NEW DIRECTOR OF SPORT PSYCHOLOGY
AMANDA FERRANTI WILL JOIN BROOKLYN UNITED AND PARK SLOPE UNITED
AT THE END OF SUMMER AND LEAD BOTH PROGRAMS AS
DIRECTOR OF SPORT PSYCHOLOGY
(Brooklyn, NY) August 23rd, 2021 – Brooklyn United, Brooklyn’s soccer academy, and Park Slope United, Brooklyn’s premier youth development program, is proud to announce that Amanda Ferranti will be joining the club as Director of Sport Psychology. Ferranti will be working closely with the club in developing unique and specialized training programs for our travel community. Specifically, she will empower our community to promote character development through the context of soccer and bring awareness to emotional health and well-being.
Ferranti will work directly with players and coaches throughout Park Slope and Brooklyn United to provide a very important, and truly unrivaled, aspect to youth training and development within the soccer world. She will also work closely with our internal staff making sure our team is operating and embracing the most up to date and functional sport psychology methodology. Ferranti is “looking forward to the opportunity to be a part of an organization that values mental health and understands the impact it has on both performance and quality of life.”

Amanda Ferranti is the director and founder of Ferranti Empowerment where she has firmly established herself as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant and licensed soccer coach for youth and collegiate athletes. She has over 10 years of experience and insight in her field, following a notable playing career at Princeton University, as well as at the semi-pro level. An advocate of mental skills training from personal experiences, Amanda understands the powerful influence that emotional management has on performance. As a result, she has used her innovation to develop a proprietary integrated training methodology that maximizes the benefits of sport psychology on the field. Amanda has also published a unique brain training workbook in an effort to make mental skills training accessible to coaches and players worldwide.
